Peripatetic at Home in Tapster Stakes

Posted on

Placed at Group 3 level last autumn, PERIPATETIC (Ulysses) got her campaign off to the perfect start with a dominant victory in the Listed Tapster Stakes at Goodwood on Sunday. David Egan bounced out on the four-year-old filly and controlled the tempo before unleashing a decisive turn of foot in the final two furlongs. This was the third win in ten starts for the Roger Varian-trained filly, who will now step back up into group company.

Peripatetic is the final foal out of the Gr.1 Del Mar Oaks heroine DUBLINO (Lear Fan), who also produced the dual Listed winner and MG3p Answered (Authorized). Peripatetic becomes the fifth stakes winner overall for Ulysses and his fifth individual stakes horse of 2023 so far.
