ADDEYBB Crowned at The Championships

After dominating British Champions Day at Ascot in October 2020, PIVOTAL impressed his influence upon Day 2 of The Championships at Randwick. ADDEYYB was the star of the show once again, landing the Gr.1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes for the second year running under Tom Marquand. Now a 7yo gelding, this was Addeybb’s fourth win at the highest level for William Haggas and his owner Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum. Addeybb is one of 32 individual Gr.1 winners sired by Pivotal.

Earlier on the card HUNGRY HEART (Frankel) supplemented her maiden Gr.1 win in the Vinery Stud Stakes with an impressive display in the Gr.1 Australian Oaks. Out of the PIVOTAL mare Harlech, Chris Waller’s 3yo filly is the 24th individual Gr.1 winner out of a Pivotal mare, following in the footsteps of the likes of LOVE (Galileo), who won the Gr.1 Oaks at Epsom last year.
