SACRED (Exceed And Excel) defied stamina concerns to win the Gr. 3 Nell Gwyn Stakes with her ears pricked in the hands of Ryan Moore for William Haggas. The Cheveley Park Stud homebred broke her maiden on the Rowley Mile last June prior to filling the runner-up spot in the Gr. 2 Queen Mary Stakes, Gr. 2 Lowther Stakes and the Gr. 2 Flying Childers Stakes. Sacred is now likely to return to Newmarket for the 1000 Guineas.

Sacred is the first foal out of SACRE CAROLINE (Blame), a winning half-sister to US Turf Champion LADY ELI and Gr. 3 turf winner Bizzy Caroline. Sacre Caroline is also the dam of  a 2yo filly called ENSHRINE (Ulysses) in training with William Haggas, in addition to yearling and foal colts by ULYSSES. Sacre Caroline is set to be covered by FRANKEL this season.
