A winner of three Group 2 races, SIMCA MILLE (Tamayuz) yesterday gained a breakthrough victory in the Group 1 Grosser Preis von Berlin at Hoppegarten. Stephane Wattel’s four-year-old colt was bred by Haras de la Perelle out of the winning Pivotal mare Swertia. Simca Mille is the 31st individual Group 1 winner out of a Pivotal mare and the third so far this season along with GOOD GUESS (Kodiac) and NASHWA (Frankel).
