NASHWA (Frankel) became the 27th individual Gr.1 winner for PIVOTAL as a broodmare sire when Imad Al Sagar’s homebred filly landed the Prix de Diane at Chantilly on Sunday. Returning quickly after a fine third at Epsom in the Oaks, Nashwa also provided a landmark victory for Hollie Doyle, who became the first female jockey to win a French Classic. Nashwa is yet another elite product of the Frankel/Pivotal nick that has already produced Gr.1 winners Cracksman, Veracious, Wild Beauty and Hungry Heart.
Pivotal is once again making his presence felt as a broodmare sire and some of his other top performers this season include G2W Pearls Galore (Invincible Spirit), LW Aldaary (Territories), LW Benefit (Acclamation), G3W Wild Beauty (Frankel) and G3p Potapova (Invincible Spirit). Runners out of his daughters at this season’s Royal Ascot meeting included the Listed Chesham Stakes winner Holloway Boy (Ulysses), G2p Zechariah (Nathaniel), G2p Royal Scotsman (Gleneagles) and G2 4th Love Reigns (U S Navy Flag).
