Tenebrism Paints Pivotal in Good Light

Posted on

A scintillating debut winner back in March, TENEBRISM (Caravaggio) defied an absence of 181 days to land the Gr.1 Cheveley Park Stakes for Aidan O’Brien. She was allowed to find her feet through the first half of the race by Ryan Moore, steadily warming into the contest before producing a devastating late burst to reel in long time leader Flotus (Starspangledbanner).

Tenebrism is the 26th individual Gr.1 winner for PIVOTAL as a broodmare sire. She is out of the wonderful dual Gr.1 winner IMMORTAL VERSE, who sold for 4,700,000gns at the Tattersalls December Sale in 2013. Back in third was SANDRINE (Bobby’s Kitten), who is out of Seychelloise (Pivotal) and did best of those from a single-figure stall.
