Last seen finishing fourth in the Grade 1 Savills Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas, ALLAHO returned to winning ways in the Grade 2 Horse & Jockey Hotel Chase at Thurles in the hands of Paul Townend. Allaho made virtually all at a strong gallop before quickening away towards the line to win by a growing 3 lengths from Elimay, who had closed down to challenge approaching the last. There was a further 79 lengths back to the 153 rated Annamix, completing the trifecta for Willie Mullins.
Placed at the last two Cheltenham Festivals, Allaho appeared to relish this drop back in trip and will now be aimed at the Grade 1 Ryanair Chase.
