Following runner-up finishes in the Group 3 Brownstown Stakes and Group 3 Oak Tree Stakes, PERFECTION (Dutch Art) gained a deserved success in the Listed Flying Fillies Stakes at Pontefract. Silvestre De Sousa was able to manoeuvre the David O’Meara trained filly into a prominent position and she was not for catching after hitting the front early in the straight. This was a second Listed success for Perfection following her victory in the Boadicea Stakes at Newmarket last October.
Perfection is out of the PIVOTAL mare CANTAL, a winning half-sister to Group 3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes victor AUTOCRATIC (Dubawi). This is also the storied female family of the great MIESQUE. Perfection is the third Stakes winner bred on the Dutch Art/Pivotal cross in 2019, joining EXHORT and MABS CROSS.
