PERFECTION lived up to her name on Saturday when landing the Listed Dubai Life British EBF Boadicea Stakes at Newmarket gaining some valuable black type in the process.
The daughter of in-form Cheveley Park sire DUTCH ART was soon ridden for a strong challenge, forcing her peers under pressure, effectively putting the race to bed. Running on well she asserted her authority close home to win well from the Stakes winning Juddmonte filly Classical Times, the pair pulling 4 lengths clear from the rest of the field.
In landing this competitive Stakes race, the strong chestnut filly trained by John Gosden and ridden by Frankie Dettori has beaten five individual stakes winners. Including the classy Gr.3 Albany Stakes winner and Gr.1 placed DIFFERENT LEAGUE a 1.5 million guineas two-year purchase, the Gr.3 Oh So Sharp Stakes winner POET’S VANITY, Gr.3 winner ARTISTICA and the Redcar Listed Two-year old trophy winner DARKANNA.
PERFECTION continues Cheveley Park Stud’s fine form on the track this season and looks an exciting prospect for the future.
