Lights On Shines at Sandown

LIGHTS ON (Siyouni) rewarded the faith of connections to keep her in training with a breakthrough Pattern level victory in the Gr.2 bet365 Mile at Sandown. Ryan Moore produced Lights On to challenge inside the final furlong and the mare kept on well towards the line, pulling out a little extra as Mutasaabeq began to press strongly in the shadow of the post. An archetypal improver for Sir Michael Stoute, Lights On looks better than ever at the age of five and will now have some lofty targets for the rest of the season

Lights On showcased her talent last year with handicap victories at Nottingham and Ascot prior to a runaway ten length success over some smart sorts in the Listed Pipalong Stakes at Pontefract. She was bred by London Thoroughbred Services and was purchased by Cheveley Park Stud as a foal for 250,000gns from West Blagdon Stud at the Tattersalls December Sales 2017.
