TWILIGHT SON enjoyed a terrific weekend with two Listed winners in Italy. ARIA IMPORTANTE struck first on Saturday, winning her sixth stakes race in the Listed Premio Chiusura under a penalty for Alduino Botti at Milan. Scuderia Blueberry’s star filly has won eight of her 12 starts, including Group 3 contests at two and three.
On Sunday, 2yo colt BAGHED sauntered to a well deserved success in the Listed Premio Rumon Mem Daniele Porcu over 7.5f at Rome for trainer Vincenzo Fazio and owner Manila Illuminati. Also placed three times at group level this season, Baghed was a bargain 7,500gns purchase by Marco Bozzi Bloodstock from Whatton Manor Stud at Book 3 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale. He was bred by J Shack & G Barnard and is one of five stakes performers so far from Twilight Son’s second crop.
Twilight Son will stand for £7,000 1st Oct. S.L.F terms at Cheveley Park Stud in 2022.
