ENVOI ALLEN got his season off to the perfect start with a wide-margin success in the Grade 2 Join Racing TV Chase at Down Royal on Saturday for Henry de Bromhead. Returning to a meeting where he had triumphed twice previously, Envoi Allen made virtually all under Rachael Blackmore, shrugging aside 150-rated chaser Coko Beach after the third last fence before sauntering to a 22-length victory.
Envoi Allen has won eight Graded races, including five Grade 1s, and has won all 12 starts under rules in which he has completed. The Grade 1 John Durkan Chase at Punchestown could be his next port of call.
