TWILIGHT SON welcomed a new Stakes winner from his first crop when TWILIGHT SPINNER slammed her rivals in the Listed Cecil Frail Stakes at Haydock. Trained by David O’Meara for Hambleton Racing, Twilight Spinner scythed through runners a furlong out and drew clear to win by 6 1/2 lengths in devastating fashion under Shane Kelly. The calibre of this performance – coming barely a month after her debut – marks Twilight Spinner out as a filly with top class potential.
Out of the Listed-placed mare Spinatrix, Twilight Spinner was bred by the Knox family and purchased by Jason Kelly for £30,000 from the Trickledown draft at the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale. She is one of 27 individual 3yo winners for Twilight Son so far in 2021.
