Indie Angel Grows Wings in Fleur De Lys

Posted on

INDIE ANGEL (Dark Angel) circled the field under Frankie Dettori to produce a last-to-first victory in the Listed Fleur De Lys Stakes at Lingfield Park. The John Gosden trained 3yo filly swept around the home bend, hit the front a furlong out and skipped clear to notch her first Stakes success. This was Indie Angel’s third win of the season and a clear career best, suggesting she could be open to further progression.

A daughter of the Listed winning mare Indigo Lady (Sir Percy), Indie Angel was bred by Ringfort Stud & P Hancock and purchased for 600,000gns as a foal from Tattersalls by Capital Bloodstock. Indie Angel is the sixth individual Stakes winner for Cheveley Park Stud this season.

The Fleur De Lys Stakes is a fast-track qualifier for the All-Weather Fillies & Mares Championship over 7f at Lingfield Park on Good Friday, 2nd April.
