ADVERTISE, a Cheveley Park Stud home-bred, lit up Royal Ascot on Friday with a commanding display in the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup. The Martyn Meade-trained colt powered clear of his rivals under Frankie Dettori to go one better than he managed at last year’s meeting, when he finished second in the Group 2 Coventry Stakes. Advertise subsequently proved he was a top-class colt for his owners, Phoenix Thoroughbreds, with victories in the Group 2 July Stakes and Group 1 Phoenix Stakes.
Out of Furbelow (Pivotal), Advertise was one of ten Group 1 winners for PIVOTAL as a broodmare sire in 2018. His Commonwealth Cup victory means his is also now one of four Group 1 winners for Pivotal as broodmare sire in 2019.
