Cheveley Park Stud is delighted to announce the purchase of Unfortunately, following his most impressive victory in the Group 1 Darley Prix Morny at Deauville. Previously owned by Jeff Laughton and trainer Karl Burke’s wife Elaine, the leading two year old is winner of three races including the Group 2 Prix Robert Papin and is the quickest two year old seen out this year. The son of Society Rock bids for leading honours when he is due to contest the Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket later this month.
Managing Director, Chris Richardson said “We are delighted to have formed an association with trainer, Karl Burke who was instrumental in us acquiring Unfortunately. Being by Society Rock, we feel Unfortunately will, in time, add an interesting commercial opportunity for breeders and he enhances the portfolio of stallions currently standing at Cheveley Park Stud”.
Karl Burke added “all at Spigot Lodge are delighted that we will be associated with Cheveley Park Stud and hope to continue the success that they have become accustomed to at the highest level”
