A busy start to the new foaling season at Cheveley Park Stud

It has been a busy start to the foaling season at Cheveley Park Stud, where 26 foals have been born in recent weeks. There have been several notable new arrivals, including a powerful bay filly out of Hypnotize (Machiavellian) by resident sire, Mayson (Invincible Spirit), who weighed in at a healthy 55 kilograms. Hynotize is the dam of Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes winner and Champion two year old filly, Hooray (Invincible Spirit) and Stakes performer Mazyoun (Mayson). Hypnotize returns to Mayson in 2017.

Clinical (Motivator), dam of the promising Lockheed (Exceed And Excel), produced a striking bay filly by Kingman on 22nd February. Clinical, winner of the Group 3 Princess Elizabeth Stakes, is a half sister to the Stakes winners Cupid’s Glory (Pursuit Of Love), Prescription (Pivotal) and Courting (Pursuit Of Love) and is from the same family as Group winners Verglas (Highest Honor) and Cassandra Go (Indian Ridge). Clinical is due to visit Invincible Spirit in 2017.

Starscope (Selkirk) produced her third foal on 31st January; an athletic bay colt by Dansili . Starscope finished runner up in both the 1000 Guineas and Group 1 Coronation Stakes. She is out of a half sister to dual Group 1 winner and resident sire Medicean (Machievellian), as well as being a half sister to the Stakes winner Solar Magic (Pivotal). Starscope is due to visit Muhaarar in 2017.

Maiden mare, Provenance (Galileo), produced a robust chestnut colt by Dutch Art on 8th February. Provenance is a Stakes placed daughter of Group 1 winner Echelon (Danehill), and a half sister to the dual Group 1 winner Integral (Dalakhani). Provenance visits Lope De Vega in 2017.

Royal Seal (Dansili) also produced her first foal on 5th February; a bay colt by Pivotal . Royal Seal is a winning full sister to last years’ Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf heroine Queen’s Trust (Dansili). Royal Seal is due to visit Lethal Force in 2017.

Between Us (Galileo) delivered an eye catching bay filly by Pivotal on 19th February. The new arrival weighed a healthy 53 kilograms. Stakes placed Between Us, is a half sister to French Oaks winner Confidential Lady (Singspiel), and is from the same family as American Triple Crown winner Affirmed(Exclusive Native). Between Us visits Le Havre in 2017.

The American Grade 1 winner Dublino (Lear Fan) produced a striking bay colt by Intello, on 22nd February, who weighed in at 51 kilograms. Dublino’sbiggest success came when winning the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks, and in doing so beat one of Pivotal’s best daughters, the Cheveley Park Stud bred, Megahertz. Dublino visits The Gurkha in 2017.

Stakes performer Rock Choir (Pivotal) produced her second foal on 26th February; a bay colt by Nathaniel . Rock Choir is a full sister to the Group 1 winner Chorist (Pivotal), making the new arrival closely related to Chorist’s best son, the dual Group 2 winner Gospel Choir (Galileo). Rock Choir is due to visit Intello in 2017.

Stakes winner and Group placed Tigrilla (Clodovil) delivered her first foal on 31st January; the bay colt, by Pivotal, weighed a respectable 46 kilograms. Tigrilla is from the same family as Group 1 winners Refuse To Bend (Sadler’s Wells) and Twilight Agenda (Devil’s Bag). Tigrilla is due to visit Acclamation in 2017.

Maiden mare, Osipova (Makfi), had a strapping bay colt by Dutch Art on 8th February. The new arrival weighed in at 56 kilograms, and is very closely related to last season’s Group 3 Sovereign Stakes winner, Zonderland (Dutch Art) and hails from the same family as Russian Rhythm (Kingmambo). Osipova returns to Dutch Art in 2017.
