She is definitely one to watch throughout the remainder of the season.

For good measure, a son of Pivotal won the supporting Surrey Stakes at Epsom. Ocean's Minstrel made all of the 7 furlongs to win this Listed prize comfortably. He could well go on to contest the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot and on this showing could well play a hand in the finish.

Meanwhile over at Naas, Jim Bolger released a two year old filly named Kitty Kiernan in the 5 furlongs maiden. Quickly away, she was always in control and won nicely. This Pivotal filly could be Royal Ascot bound.

4th May 2009

The word before the Prix des Nouveautes at Longchamp this afternoon was that the unraced Aga Khan homebred two year old colt Siyouni was fairly smart, and so it proved. The son of Pivotal was never in trouble and was very impressive chalking up his first win. The owner and trainer, Alain De Royer-Dupre have always been impressed with this colt and are very hopeful for a successful career. Watch this space......

4th April 2009

Ocean's Minstrel's Listed win is no fluke.

Only the winner of a lowly maiden before this step up to Listed class, but there was no fluke about the way the 3yo Pivotal colt Ocean's Minstrel won the International Trial Stakes at Lingfield over 1 mile. He is an exciting horse and like most of his sires progeny really enjoys the synthetic surfaces.

On a exceptional afternoons racing Pivotal again hit the headlines when his son Judge 'N Jury won his seventh race of the season when taking the very competitive Coral.co.uk Handicap at Doncaster off of top weight. He continues to go from strength to strength and a run in pattern races cannot be far away.

The Ed Dunlop trained Izzibizzi won the 7 furlongs event coming from last to first in the final 2 furlongs and the James Fanshawe trained La Serrazine won the Class 2 10 furlong handicap. She is improving with her races and being out of  Pivotal mare, she might not have stopped yet.

24th October 2008

The very consistent Mood Music won his third Listed prize when taking the Flieger-Preis at Baden-Baden today. This was just reward for running some super races, in finishing placed in the highly sort after Group 1 prizes, the Prince of Wales Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Eclipse Stakes at Sandown.

19th July 2008

Corrybrough tried to make the grade in Group company when he contested the Group 3 Hackwood Stakes at Newbury today. He ran well to finish second but was ridden differently being closer to the pace and he never showed his usual trade mark final furlong flourish. The Kyllachy colt is still getting better and beginning to fill into his frame. When he does he will surely leave his mark.

Kingsgate Native wine the Group 1 Golden Jubilee at Royal Ascot.

He followed the top class world traveller Takeover Target through the early part of the race and simply blasted past him and the other 15 runners to win comfortably at the end by 1½ lengths. He was just too good for these and will take a deal of beating wherever he runs next.

She really has an explosive turn of foot and is up to challenging for Group races later in the season. Third in this race was Bearstone Stud's Kyllachy filly Day By Day who won the race on the near side of the track and stayed on well to finish third. Liking this much better ground this filly has also improved and is up to gaining an elusive Stakes win in due course.

Kyllachy also had another Stakes placed filly when Kylayne finished third in the Chartwell Fillies Stakes, Lingfield, Group 3. Showing her blistering early pace, she stayed on well to be just outpointed by two good French trained fillies. Her turn will come, as she doesn't know how to run a bad race.

Pivotal Hat-Tick of Stakes Winners.

Pivotal continued the fantastic start he has made to the new season when three horses all won their first Stakes races at Kempton. Poorly drawn she raced around the outside of this field but showed her class when quickening nicely inside the final two furlongs to win cosily. She will now contest Group races.

She, like many Pivotals appear to be improving with age and a good season ahead looks likely.

Where Or When had another winner when his son Summer Winds won on his reappearance at Lingfield. On only his second start he showed vastly improved form and won a shade cosily. He should continue to improve.
