Mayson - Off and Running.

The Freshman sire Mayson, had his first winner when Global Applause was a easy winner at Newmarket today. Sat just off the pace, he quickened readily to win this with authority. Trainer Ed Dunlop was quick to praise the horse and said that he would contest black type next.

The son of Invincible Spirit has started well at stud.

Global Applause is putting his sire Mayson on the map.

Breeder - Robin & Scarlet Knipe.

Trainer - Ed Dunlop

Global Applause won the Betvictor National Stakes at Sandown thus becoming the first Stakes winner for the freshman sire Mayson. He was always to the fore in this 5 furlong Listed event of juveniles and stayed on to win well.

Another Mayson juvenile earns black type.

The Cheveley Park Stud homebred colt Nobly Born, put up a good performance when runner up to Mokaaris in the Listed Rose Bowl Stakes at Newbury. Travelling off the pace he stayed on well to finish second . He is learning his trade well and should prove to be competitive again. He is the second colt by Mayson to earn black type from his first crop.

Rosie Briar becomes another Stakes winner for Mayson.

Owner / Breeder - Dr. J. Hobby

Trainer - A. Balding

Sitting just off the pace, Rosie Briar quickened up nicely to land the Listed Doncaster Stakes at Doncaster. IN only her third start this daughter of Mayson showed good speed and should continue to go the right way.

This is Mayson’s seventh black type performer from his first crop.

Private Matter becomes the third Stakes winner for Mayson

Owner / Breeder - Cheveley Park Stud

Trainer - Richard Fahey

Mayson continues to scale the stallion ranks after his son Private Matter won the Listed Prix Zeddaan at Maisons Laffitte today.

Sitting just off the lead early on he quickened up with 2 furlongs to go and never looked like being caught. He is a progressive sort and should continue to do well.

This is Mayson’s third Stakes winner and the second one this week. Only Frankel from the First crop stallions list has sired more, with four.

Mayson sires the 20th winner from his first crop.

Moccolo became the 20th individual winner for Mayson when he broke his maiden at the second attempt in Rome. Coming with a late run on the outside, he won over a mile to gain his first success. He was the first winner out of the the Cheveley Park Stud owned Shamardal mare, Dance East.
