Zonderland realising potential.

The Cheveley Park Stud homebred colt Zonderland, won the Betvictor Heron Stakes at Sandown. Sat just behind the leader early, he quickened nicely to win well in a good renewal of this Listed race. By Dutch Art, the strapping Zonderland started the season with a sixth place finish in the 2000 Guineas but fell down the hill at Newmarket and couldn’t produce his good turn of foot.

He will now go to Royal Ascot  to contest the St. James Palace Stakes.

Zonderland wins first Group race at Salisbury.

Owner/Breeder - Cheveley Park Stud

Trainer - C Cox

The good looking Zonderland is really progressing now and took his first Group prize with authority here. Sat just behind the pace, he quickened up really well to win the Group 3 Sovereign Stakes with a bit of style only idling close home.

This son of Dutch Art is something to look forward to for the remainder of the year and 2017.

Dutch Connection readily wins the Lennox stakes.

Owner - Godolphin

Breeder - Mrs P. Roy

Trainer - Charlie Hills

Back on his favoured fast ground, Dutch Connection showed his explosive turn of foot to land the Gr.2 Lennox Stakes at Goodwood. Travelling nicely just in behind if was soon evident that he was going to win with something to spare.

This son of Dutch Art will be winning at the level again very shortly.

Don’t Touch claims first Listed victory.

Owners - Nicholas Wrigley & Kevin Hart

Breeder - Cheveley Park Stud

Trainer - R. Fahey

After an under par run last time, Don’t Touch bounced right back to form when winning his first Black type race. The Cathedral Stakes at Salisbury was a Listed race only in name and looked a much more competitive event. The Richard Fahey trained sat just behind the pace taking up the running inside the final furlong and won in most taking in fashion. By Dutch Art, he is proving to be a very tough horse who could well be running in the July Cup next time.

Arthenus becomes latest Dutch Art Stakes winner

Owners - A. Coombs & J. W. Rowley

Breeder - Brook Stud Bloodstock

Trainer - James Fanshawe

Following up from a Group 2 place last time, Arthenus returned to France to land the Listed Prix de Boulogne at Saint-Cloud a shade cosily. The son of Dutch Art was restrained early but came with a steady run to take up the lead inside the final furlong and won a shade cosily.
