Stakes Winner For Unfortunately

UNFORTUNATELY was represented by his first Stakes winner when the George Boughey-trained PERDIKA battled bravely to land the Listed Prix Ronde de Nuit at Chantilly. This was the fifth career victory for the three-year-old filly, who had acquitted herself well racing over longer trips in Meydan through January and February. The speed and tenacity she showed to score in Chantilly echoed the success her sire enjoyed in France when landing the Gr.1 Prix Morny and Gr.2 Prix Robert Papin. Perdika is owned by Mrs S Nicholls, who bred the filly in partnership with Bumble Bloodstock.

A Cheveley Park Stud stallion, Unfortunately is standing his fourth season at Oak Lodge Stud in Ireland. His advertised stud fee is €3,500. His first-crop of runners also includes Looking For Lynda, who was fourth in the Listed Julia Graves Roses Stakes at York and is rated 101 by Timeform.
