GARSWOOD sired another Group winner from his first crop on Wednesday when the Frederic Rossi trained CALA TARIDA took the Gr.3 Prix des Reservoirs in decisive fashion at Deauville. She joins fellow Group 3 winner LITTLE KIM a winner of the 5f Gr.3 Prix Du Bois, also at Deauville as GARSWOOD’S second Group winner.
CALA TARIDA has now won three of her 5 starts having previously been placed in Listed company and trainer Frederic Rossi expects further improvement from the filly commenting;
“Physically she was quite big in comparison to the rest in the parade ring and I think she is more the model to be a three-year-old than a two-year-old. She has quality and if she has a good winter she can be aimed at the good races next year.”
The Prix des Reservoirs has previously been a stepping stone to Group 1 level with last year’s winner WITH YOU going on to land the Gr.1 Prix Rothschild in her three year old season.
GARSWOOD, a Group 1 winning son of DUTCH ART, has now sired more European two-year old Group winners in 2018 than CAMACHO, DANDY MAN, DARK ANGEL, EXCEED AND EXCEL, IFFRAAJ, INVINCIBLE SPIRIT, OASIS DREAM and equals KINGMAN, NO NAY NEVER and SEA THE MOON.
